In Theatre FEMINA of 11 to 14 May 2006 After the historic victory of Anatoly Karpov in 2005, the Grand Prix of Bordeaux for its 2006 edition offers an international match between the child of Aquitaine International Grand Master and No. 3 French Laurent Fressinet and the No. 1 English Grand Master Francisco International Valljo Pons.
After falling against the African champion Hicham Hamdouchi in semi final of the 2005 edition, Fressinet took his revenge by winning the Chess Grand Prix d'Aix en Provence facing the same Hamdouchi final on the score without call 2-0, the same score that saw him pass the ¼ and ½ of the final tournament of young Provence.
